Fireworks at Mount Rushmore National Memorial are not an annually occurring event. As they will not be happening this year, you can still celebrate Independence Day, and the days surrounding it, in the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota with some of the best Fourth of July celebrations found anywhere in America. From Old West shootouts, cook-offs, car shows, live music and ice cream socials to farmers markets, reenactments, arts and crafts vendors and more, America's birthday party is going on in South Dakota, and you’re all invited.
