Having taken the name from Cuban origin, meaning convenience store, the Badlands Bodega in Wall offers a little bit of everything. Chicken, beer, wine, candy and groceries; you name it, we've got it! We also offer apparel and souvenirs to advertise the beauty of the Badlands. We are open 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Sunday. See Facebook for any specials and/or hours updates.

Badlands Distillery

Located south of Interstate 90 Exit 150 in Kadoka, Badlands Distillery is a family-owned and operated business that provides handcrafted distilled spirits. We specialize in distilling corn grown on our ranch and offer whiskey, unique spirits, free tastings, tours, and sales. There is history in the heart of the Badlands that speaks to the pioneer spirit. South Dakota bootleggers played their part in that American history. Come to Badlands Distillery and taste history. We are open 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday.

Badlands Frontier Cabins

At Badlands Frontier Cabins, we offer 33 authentic, custom-built log cabins with modern amenities. Each of our four types of cabins is immaculate, fully-equipped, has it's own private bath, and is serviced daily by our outstanding housekeeping crew. Each smoke-free cabin has air conditioning and heat, linens and towels, cable TV, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Our log cabin resort is located in scenic Wall, just six miles from the entrance to Badlands National Park and six blocks from the famous Wall Drug. We are within driving distance to other historic locations such as Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial, and Deadwood.

Badlands Motel & Campground

Owners Rick and Dawn Tilson look forward to making your stay a memorable experience. Only one mile from Badlands National Park, we are the closest full-service campground. Amenities include a restaurant, store, swimming pool, fire pits, free Wi-Fi and everything from tent to full-hookup pull-through sites. We also have a 22-unit motel: Badlands Interior Budget Host.

Badlands National Park

This striking landscape in southwestern South Dakota boasts a maze of buttes, canyons, pinnacles and spires. Skeletons of three-toed horses and saber-toothed cats are among the many fossilized species found here. Wildlife abounds in the park's 244,000 acres and can often be seen while hiking, camping and traveling the 39-mile Badlands Loop Scenic Byway.

Badlands Observatory

Established in 2000, the Badlands Observatory is a private facility for research, education and stargazing located in the small community of Quinn. For more than 10 years, owner Ron Dyvig contributed data to the Minor Planet Center in support of their mapping project for Near Earth Objects. In later years, the Observatory primarily provided telescope time to institutions and students. Since 2019, Ron and partner Teresa have been upgrading the facility and fine-tuning their programming in order to create a favorable experience for visitors, including daytime tours and night sky programs. Guided tours are available daily. Daytime tours are provided by reservation
only, and may be made by phone or email. Daytime tours can start as early as 9
a.m. and as late as 1 p.m. They last approximately 1.5 hours. The cost is $10
per person, 10 years and older. Night tours vary with the phase of the moon,
sunset times and sky conditions, and cost $29.70 per person, 10 years and older.

At Badlands Saloon & Grille in Wall, our goal is to offer our customers delicious food and friendly service in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We continue to uphold this promise by making sure that every dish that leaves our kitchen is the best it can be. Our menu features both authentic and familiar dishes using family recipes, along with one-of-a-kind creations served breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are open 7 a.m.-11 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Badlands Trading Post

Badlands Trading Post, just off Interstate 90 at Exit 131, is proud to be located between two National Parks - Badlands National Park and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site - in South Dakota. We are truly where the 'west still lives'. We offer gasoline; a unique western shop with souvenirs and gifts, including mugs, magnets, knives, T-shirts, jewelry and much more; fast food, including the only buffalo hot dog at Cactus Flat; and, of course, ice cream.
