Located on 6th Street and Main in downtown Rapid City, Prairie Edge stands two stories high and stretches out for half a block. Inside, the hardwood floors and polished cabinetry bring to mind the spirit of the Old West, while the distinct smell of sweetgrass and soft sound of a Lakota flute evoke the mystique of the Great Plains Indian. We feature traditional and contemporary Native American art, crafts and music, as well as craft supplies and dried herbs. Located between Deadwood and Lead, Blacktail Horseback Tours give riding enthusiasts both a trail ride and a lesson in Black Hills history. Guests ride through forested switchbacks and scenic overlooks while at the same time learn about the area's gold mining history.
