Situated on 20 acres, we offer our guests a luxurious venue to explore the local area. Experience the Black Hills by hiking, biking, skiing or snowmobiling, or just relaxing. Dimock Cheese, located in the breadbasket of the heartland, is the oldest cheese plant in South Dakota. Since opening the doors in 1931, Dimock Cheese has continued to make handcrafted artisan cheese the old fashioned way. We use only the best ingredients available and take no shortcuts. We take great pride and care in producing premium quality cheese for our customers. Our store is open 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday.
The Dinosaur Museum is located between Reptile Gardens and Rushmore Candy Co. on the southern edge of Rapid City. Inside, you will see more than 98 ancient reptiles, learn more in our educational movie theatre, make your way through our mirror maze, and even try your hand at digging for fossils. While most museums only display fossils and skeleton replicas, our dinosaurs show you what dinosaurs looked like when they were alive. While here, try your hand at our mini golf course. We are open daily May through August and with reduced hours September until mid-December and March until May. We are closed December 20 through March 15. Located in Rapid City, Dinosaur Park is one of the area’s original tourist attractions. It sits on a ridge of sandstone that encircles the Black Hills. Along this ridge, dinosaurs of the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous have been found. View the seven life-sized, concrete replicas of monstrous prehistoric reptiles that inhabit the park. This free park is open 5 a.m.-10 p.m., daily. There is also a visitor center, gift shop and snack bar, including ice cream, Slush Puppies, hotdogs and more. The visitor center/gift shop hours of operation are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., May and September; 8 a.m.-8 p.m., June and July; and 8 a.m.-6 p.m., August.
Discovery Tours, based out of Lead, offers fully-narrated, day-long tours throughout the Black Hills. The tours include all admission fees and cold beverages, as well as free pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or campsite. Some of the attractions included are Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial, Needles Highway and Custer State Park. The tours are smaller and there are never more than 10 people per van. Personalized, custom tours are available. Tours run year-round.

You’ll find an awesome lunch menu with daily specials. Mondays are Latte Fun nights from 6:30-9:30 p.m., where you can enjoy a fun night drinking coffee or tea and making crafts. We are open 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Donut Shop is a local favorite in Pierre. It is known for homemade cake and raised donuts, especially its filled donut holes. Hours are 6 a.m.-12 p.m. and the shop will remain open during those hours unless sold out of product for the day. It is take away only (no seating).
The Double Diamond Ranch is a beautiful horse ranch located close to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial and Custer State Park. Even though our address is Rapid City, we are just four miles north of Hill City. We offer deluxe rooms, cabins and vacation homes that sleep 2-14 guests and include fireplaces, kitchens, hot tubs, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, firepits and cell phone service. Our Diamond Spur Lodge is great for extended families, quilters, small weddings and retreats. The Diamond Spur Events Center holds up to 300 guests for weddings, retreats and conference (opening winter 2022-2023). Guests are invited to see and pet the horses, hike on our property, and try fishing in Spring Creek.
