The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs is an active paleontological dig site, which boasts the largest concentration of mammoth remains in the world! Our current mammoth count is 61, with 58 Columbian and three woolly mammoths. We hope you will come and tour this unique National Natural Landmark. We are open seven days a week: Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with the last guided tour beginning at 4 p.m.The Meridian Bridge
Located on the west side of Riverside Park (intersection of Walnut Street and Riverside Drive), this trail (.6 miles each level) is the historic double-decker Meridian Bridge. It was originally dedicated on October 11, 1924, as a toll bridge on the upper deck. The bridge spans the Missouri National Recreational River, which is a national park. Visitors can walk, run, or ride bikes on both levels of the bridge and enjoy a wonderful vantage point to look upon the river's wild and scenic waters.The Nest Hotel
Completely renovated in 2017, The Nest Hotel (formerly the Castle Inn) in Rapid City is a 21-room property with several room types. There are double queen rooms, king rooms, a king suite, a one-bedroom apartment and a two-bedroom apartment. Each room as a mini fridge, coffee pot and microwave oven. Game, Fish and Parks' Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls is a 100-acre nature park with two miles of hiking trails, an indoor imaginative play area for children, and a 3,000-gallon freshwater fish aquarium. We offer many events and activities throughout the year including fishing, kayaking, shooting, camping classes and much more.
