The park comprises two free-flowing reaches of the Missouri River separated by Lewis and Clark Lake. The 39-mile reach begins immediately downstream from Fort Randall Dam at Pickstown and continues to Running Water. The 59-mile reach stretches from about one mile below Gavins Point Dam to Nebraska's Ponca State Park. A visitor contact station is located inside their headquarters building in Yankton. It is open year-round, but is closed on weekends and federal holidays. Admission is free.

Located on the shores of Lake Mitchell, the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village is a 1,000 year-old Native American village and the only archaeological site in South Dakota that is open to the public. Guests can watch as archaeologists uncover artifacts in the comfort of the Thomsen Center Archeodome and tour the Boehnen Memorial Museum to see the reconstructed lodge and many of the 1.5 million artifacts. Children can dig for free arrowheads and everyone can learn the art of spear-throwing.
Located right on the Yellowstone Trail (US Highway 12), Mobridge is a beautiful little family-friendly town on the Missouri River. Our friendly staff at the Visitor's Center will set you up with a wonderful local experience, whether you are staying for the afternoon or the week. Moccasin Springs is a natural mineral spa in Hot Springs in southwestern South Dakota. The spa is located on the historical ruins of the Hot Springs Hotel. In 2014, the name of the site was changed back to the original name, Moccasin Springs. All of the historical ruins on site have been taken into consideration; maintaining the ruins and building around the original site, keeping as much history as possible for your mineral springs experience. Available services include aromatherapy, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, Swedish massage, reflexology and more. Moccasin Springs is open to guests ages 18 and older. Our hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday, May through December, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday-Sunday, February through April.
Molly's Manor Bed and Breakfast in Platte offers private, overnight accommodations for up to eight guests. This 1918 home offers spacious rooms with queen beds and attached private bathrooms, plus a Family Suite consisting of two separate bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom. Rochford is an unincorporated community of about 10 people located approximately 25 miles south of Deadwood on Forest Service Road 17 in the northern Black Hills. Moonshine Gulch Saloon is a favorite pit stop for motorcyclists, bicyclists, ATV riders and hikers. You can enjoy a burger, beer and other refreshments while you rest up for the next leg of your journey. Still back, cool off and enjoy the atmosphere of this out-of-the-way bar.
